Certification is the certifiers’ work; the registry shows their evidence and its dates, never presenting anything as proven when it is not. You decide.

What each level means

Certificate filed

A certificate was submitted to the registry and reviewed. The document is shown with its control date: the registry shows its age, it does not downgrade it.

Accreditation cited

The registry cites this accreditation from a body’s public list. It has not received the document nor verified it: to be confirmed on the body’s official site.

Self-declared

The establishment declares that it serves halal. The registry has not received a body’s certificate. What follows comes from the restaurant, not from a control.

No evidence published

The registry has received neither a body’s certificate nor a declaration from the establishment. The absence of third-party evidence is the default state, not a flaw: this line describes the state of the registry, not that of the establishment.

Each entry describes what the registry received, and on what date. None passes judgment on the establishment, its good faith, or what it serves today. An owner can at any time complete their listing, correct it, respond publicly, or request its removal.
