1. App and publisher concerned
This procedure applies to Ma Table Halal (a directory of halal restaurants, available on Google Play and the App Store, as well as via the matablehalal.com website).
Publisher: a private individual, on a non-professional basis, acting as data controller. Contact: hello@matablehalal.com.
2. How to request deletion
Send an email to hello@matablehalal.com with:
- Subject:
[Suppression de données] - Your anonymous device identifier (UUID), if you have it. This UUID is generated locally by the app on your first vote or restaurant addition. You can find it in the Ma Table Halal app, on the About page, in the "My data" section, via the "Request deletion" button (which pre-fills this email automatically).
- If you do not have access to the app (phone lost, app uninstalled, etc.), let us know: we will not be able to link the request to a specific UUID and will carry out a deletion based on other criteria you provide (approximate date of your votes, restaurants added, etc.).
Processing time: within 30 days from receipt of the email. You will receive a confirmation by email once the deletion has been carried out.
3. Data deleted
On request, the following data is permanently deleted from our database:
- Your anonymous device identifier (UUID).
- Your community halal votes (answers to questions about the restaurant's halal nature) linked to this UUID.
- Your restaurant addition contributions linked to this UUID will be anonymised (the restaurant itself remains in the directory as it is a public contribution, but the link with your device is broken).
4. Special case: withdrawal of an owner's sworn declaration
If you are the owner of a restaurant who has signed a halal sworn declaration and wish to withdraw it, the procedure is different:
- Send an email to hello@matablehalal.com from the email address used when signing, stating your certificate number (format
MTH-2026-XXXXXX) or your establishment's company name and SIRET number. - On receipt, and after verifying that the request indeed comes from the signatory, the declaration is unpublished and the corresponding badge disappears from the restaurant listing within 48 h.
- The content of the declaration may be kept in the database for a maximum of 5 years from withdrawal, for reasons of civil limitation periods (see privacy policy, article 5).
5. Data retained
Certain technical data is not covered by the deletion request because it is not associated with a user identifier:
- Server logs (IP address, user-agent, requested URL): kept for 30 days for security and technical diagnostic purposes, then automatically purged.
- Aggregated and anonymised data (vote counters, consultation statistics): kept indefinitely, as it cannot be attributed to a person.
- Restaurants added through you: kept in the directory (but dissociated from your UUID, see point 3).
6. Local deletion (without writing to us)
If you simply wish to erase the data stored on your device (local UUID, favourites, restaurant cache) without contacting us, all you need to do is uninstall the app. All local data is then erased. However, the data already transmitted to the server remains associated with your former UUID until you make a deletion request (see point 2).
7. Your other rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you also have a right of access, rectification, restriction and objection. You can exercise these rights via the same address hello@matablehalal.com, or consult our full privacy policy.
