1. Purpose
These Terms of Use govern the use of the matablehalal.com website and the Ma Table Halal mobile app (hereinafter "the Service"), which provide an independent directory of halal restaurants.
2. Acceptance
Using the Service implies full and complete acceptance of these Terms. If you do not accept these terms, you must not use the Service.
3. Access to the Service
The Service is accessible free of charge, with no account creation. The publisher strives to ensure maximum availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access (maintenance, technical incident, force majeure).
4. Content and nature of the directory
The information provided (addresses, certifications, cuisines, opening hours) comes from public sources (halal certification registries, open data, Google Places) and from field checks carried out by the editorial team.
Ma Table Halal is an independent guide: no listing is paid for, and no commercial partnership with a listed restaurant binds the publisher.
Despite the care taken in verification, the information may contain inaccuracies, be out of date, or no longer reflect reality (change of owner, withdrawal of certification, closure). Users are advised to confirm directly with the establishment before making any trip.
5. Sworn declaration by the restaurant owner
The Service offers restaurant owners a halal sworn declaration feature: from the mobile app, the owner can attest to the halal compliance of the meats sold in their establishment, by providing the company's SIRET number, their suppliers, and by affixing their electronic signature.
5.1 Responsibility of the declarant
This declaration binds its author alone, the establishment's owner, who assumes full responsibility for the accuracy of its content. Any false declaration may lead to civil and criminal penalties under French law.
5.2 Ma Table Halal's host status
In accordance with article 6 of the French law on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN no. 2004-575), Ma Table Halal is merely the host of the content of a sworn declaration made by a third party. Ma Table Halal does not verify the accuracy of the declaration or the actual halal nature of the products served by the declaring establishment. The badge shown on the restaurant listing states "Not verified by Ma Table Halal, binds its author only".
This feature is in no way a substitute for a halal certification issued by a recognised certification body (ACHAHADA, AVS, HMC, etc.), which is the subject of a separate badge.
5.3 Moderation
The publisher reserves the right, without notice, to remove any declaration that is manifestly false, fraudulent, or the subject of a substantiated report. Declarations whose SIRET cannot be automatically verified via the government API recherche-entreprises.api.gouv.fr are subject to manual moderation before publication.
5.4 Optional certificate
The owner may attach a file (PDF or image, max 5 MB) attesting to a certification by a third-party body not listed in our directory. This document is made publicly accessible on the associated certificate page (matablehalal.com/declarations/MTH-…). Ma Table Halal does not authenticate the content of the document but republishes it as provided by the declarant.
6. Reporting
Any user may report incorrect information (including a manifestly false sworn declaration) and request a correction or removal at hello@matablehalal.com. The publisher undertakes to process reports within a reasonable time (48 h on average).
7. Intellectual property
The "Ma Table Halal" name, logo and visual identity are the exclusive property of the publisher. Establishment information from Google Places remains subject to the conditions of its provider.
8. Liability
The Service is provided "as is". The publisher cannot be held liable for:
- The direct or indirect consequences of using the information displayed.
- The quality, hygiene, actual halal nature or any other aspect specific to the listed establishments.
- The content of a sworn declaration made by an owner, which binds its author alone (see article 5).
- Temporary technical unavailability.
9. Respectful use
Any use of the Service for the purpose of mass data harvesting (unauthorised scraping), resale, or that harms its normal operation is prohibited.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance falls under the jurisdiction of the French courts.
